RECAP OF 2024
May 28, 2025
SO much has happened this year!
Looking back over 2024, I want to let you know the major events that led us through this very busy year!
The first major event was, God led us to move back to IHOPKC. This was not an event taken lightly. We have always loved IHOPKC, but this was a major move leaving our beloved Colorado family. We knew through many direct confirmations and divine appointments
that this was what God had for us in this season of our lives. So, in March of this year, we packed up and moved back to our Herrnhutt Apartments, two buildings over from where we first lived when we got married.
Just one month later, Tony turned 85! We had a big open house birthday party with all our IHOP community. The next several months we spent unpacking and settling in to our (old) new life here.
As we began to get used to being back at IHOPKC, we had one more important journey to make: to Indiana in June for the Fetz Family Reunion, then one week later we would find ourselves in Minnesota for a wedding!
The reunion brought us to many we had not seen in a very long time. It was precious time with family we will cherish. The time went too quickly! Then, after a quick trip to see my sister Doris and dear friends in Ohio, we were on to Minnesota for our Grandson’s wedding! Sean and Mauve’s beautiful wedding took place one week after the Fetz Reunion, on June 29. It was a joy to spend time with family in Indiana, Ohio and Minnesota! And, Mauve is such a wonderful addition to our family!
As summer came quickly, we concentrated our time focusing on being in the prayer room, special intercessory side room prayer groups, and building relationships with worship teams and intercessors. Our schedule in the prayer room was working well, and we settled
back into a plan of prayerwalking our neighborhood and being part of our new House Church.
In our new home, we also continued being a part of the USA Watch calls in Mountain and Central Time Zones, with a group of longtime friends and mighty prayer warriors.
Looking ahead, we began to plan a Partnership Development trip for the late summer and early fall. Our journey was to begin with a southeastern loop visiting family and Prayerwalk America contacts through Florida, North Carolina and Georgia, then back home for a break with a plan to make two long trips in the fall to Colorado: Denver, then Colorado Springs, seeing our family as well as prayer and ministry partners and visiting with churches we were connected with when we lived there, and partners of our Prayerwalk America and Prayerwalk Colorado journeys, with an eye to visit Arizona in the Spring of 2025. Little did we know, that trip was not to happen as we thought. We had the right word from God, but He had different ideas on the timing!
On August 17, Tony had a stroke.
Prayer warriors across the nation went to battle for his healing.
Instead of what could have been a much more serious outcome, the damage was minimal and through God’s healing mercy, Tony healed quickly, and his rehab went well. He spent a week and a half at a VA hospital, the same amount of time at a Rehab Center, then did
outpatient therapy twice a week until the end of October. You can’t keep a good man down! To look at him, you’d never know he had a stroke at all. Praise our God!
We were able to continue our time in the prayer room, which was a restful time for both of us. Later in the fall, we still were able to make a short trip to see Arizona family, and to see Colorado family near Thanksgiving.
What a year! Thank You God that we made it through with Your help and we praise Your Name for Your greatness and Your plan for our lives. We started 2025 with determination to continue our journey here, and to follow the Lord’s leading as we look to His leading for a new year!
