County Seat: Fort Collins.

Today, we got to visit a really special place. We met with Pastor Blake Bush at The Old Stone Church in Fort Collins, Colorado. This is not only a beautiful, historic building in this city, but the future location of the Fort Collins, Colorado House of Prayer that will launch here in September. Pastor Blake is over One Hope Ministries, NOCO. We first met this brother as the worship leader of a prayer meeting we attend at The Community Life Center in Loveland, CO. Blake was able to join us for prayer as we placed our memorials in the ground and again claimed this land and Larimer County for the Lord.

This time is always so precious to us. As each memorial is placed in the ground, we declare and proclaim, in unity, truths from the Word of God over this land. The preparation of the ground is done by Tony as he places our “altar” in the ground. This is simply a small flat stone with sticks paced over it, representing Elijah’s alter when he confronted the prophets of Baal. Oh Lord God, we pray Your fire will fall on this place, on our hearts, on this county, all over Colorado, and Oh Lord God, all over America! Oh Lord, with this chain link, bind our hearts to Yours and in unity to each others as Your body. Make us one, Lord. We declare again Jeremiah 10:6-7, that there is truly NONE LIKE YOU! With holy reverence and humility we bow our hearts before the only King and Lord, as we place this scripture as a scroll into our memorial so that our land will never forget.

After this prayer and such a sweet time of communion together, Blake welcomed Tony, Melody and me to go right into the sanctuary and stay and worship for as long as we desired. This building reflects Your glory Lord; it is such a beautiful place to bring honor to Your Name. From the stone it is built on, to the spiral staircase, and in every corner, this place has soaked in Your praises for generations. What an honor to be able to be here in this building to lift up Your Name with all the generations who have come here before us. May our children’s children’s children continue to bring You the glory You so deserve! Being here together was such a precious time and we really were honored to be sitting where the House of Prayer will happen. We had so looked forward to being here in this place.

This was a beautiful time, and God’s presence here was sweet. Thank You, Lord, for today and for all You are doing in Larimer County! Draw this county to Your heart, Oh Lord. May this place be a lighthouse and may all who enter here be drawn to Your heart.

Oh God, we pray You will grow faith across America and across this county, Lord, like this mustard seed we sprinkle over this altar, and throw into the air. We pray that as the wind carries this seed across Larimer County, that You will multiply faith across our land. Then, the most precious of all, we remember in humility what You did on that cross. We acknowledge again that Your cross is “the only way home”, and we solemnly take communion with each other and with the land. I love this time the most. Then, I love the feel of the cool soil in my hands as I cover the offerings. Finally, we love hearing the sound of our shofars, ringing out our worship to You.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! Psalm 133:1

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear it and rejoice. Oh, magnify the Lord with Me, and let us exalt his name together! Psalm 34:1-3
