County Seat: Grand Junction.

Before I tell you about all that the Lord did as we were in Mesa County, I would love to tell you a few things we learned about this amazing and beautiful place. We serve a creative and artistic God!

First, Mesa County gets the prize for being the fourth largest county in Colorado. Grand Junction, the County Seat, is not only well known for its fruit orchards; Grand Junction also happens to be the largest city on Colorado’s Western Slope. Want to find the people in Mesa County? Look no further. More than one third of the population of Mesa County resides right here in Grand Junction. Also known for its many beautiful large mesas, it is the location of the largest flat-topped mountain IN THE WORLD- Grand Mesa. You can guess, then, how Mesa County got its name!

This large metropolitan town is located at the junction of the Grand River and the Colorado River (once known as the Grand River)- thus called Grand Junction. You can see from my pictures; this part of Colorado will not disappoint you with its strikingly beautiful landscapes. The drive from Delta, Colorado to here was about an hour, and my camera clocked in at 176 pictures! One of them included the “Grand Junction” of the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers, as you can see below.

As we enter the town of Grand Junction, we will first locate our church contact. Pastor Dan Baker is the Senior Minister of Appleton Christian Church, serving here since August of 2015. He will be in a meeting with other pastors and church leaders today, but has welcomed us to come and pray over Mesa County, and leave our offerings in the land on this property.

There is None like You, You are Worthy of it All, and We Exalt Thee! We sang these three truths/ worship songs and we glorified the Name of the Lord as we placed our offerings in the ground under a beautiful tree. As we built our Elijah Altar, we called down fire from heaven upon our hearts. We added a chain link for unity, water and oil for the Holy Spirit and for rivers of Living Water to flow over Your church and over America again. Mustard seed represented our prayer for faith to spread across Colorado and America. A “Colorado Prays” card was used to cry out to God for more intercessors, and Jeremiah 10:6-7 was prayed over and placed over our offerings because there is “NONE LIKE YOU”. We closed with communion together, and sealed our time with worship and shofars! Lord, send down the fire of Your Holy Spirit on the hearts of Your people; revive us again!

“As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth after Thee: You alone are my hearts desire, and I long to worship Thee.” -(Song: “As The Deer”) Words to this song are from

Psalm 42:1

Jeremiah 10-:6-7: “There is NONE LIKE YOU Oh Lord! You are great and great is Your Name in might. Who would not fear You, Oh King of the nations; for indeed it is Your due. For among all the wise men of the nations and in all their Kingdoms-

THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU!”

“While they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and after a blessing, He broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them saying, “Drink from it, all of you, for this is My blood of the covenant, which is being poured out for many, for the forgiveness of sins.”

Matthew 26:26-28.

II Chronicles 20:21-23: And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the Lord, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for His mercy endures forever.”

Thank You our Lord God, for Grand Junction and the Light You are here.

Thank You for new friends, solid promises from Your Word, and the miracle of salvation.

To all who are thirsty… COME.
