County Seat: Wray.

Next we were blessed to spend time with Pastor Curtis Taylor of First Christian Church. Wray, the County Seat of Yuma, is a small agricultural and ranching community. Here we are near the border of Kansas, in Northeast Colorado. At elevation 3,315 feet, this is the lowest point in elevation in the state of Colorado, but is the “highest low point” of any US State. The beautiful Arkansas River flows out of Yuma County. We pray for the water of the Word to go out from here as the Arkansas River. Founded in 1889, this county grows more corn than any other Colorado county. We pray that the bread of His presence would grow high and thick in this place and feed all of Colorado. Tony prepared the ground for our offerings as our brother Curtis prayed over the land.

Communion with each other and with the land is the most precious time. After we share this holy moment in His presence, we add the communion elements to our offerings and pour olive oil over the ground as we pray for Holy Spirit to fill us like oil. Then, with my guitar, the four of us sealed our offerings with worship. Brother Curtis was so welcoming and we are grateful for the time we were able to spend with him here.

Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty expanse. Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

PSALM 150: 1-2; 6.

Today was such a sweet time of worship in the Lord’s presence with our new friend. We love the unity we have with each other when we just sit at Your feet. Before we left Wray, we heard church bells ring out the old, sacred hymn, “Blessed Be the Tie That Binds.” It was so beautiful. Yes.

Blessed be the tie that binds our hearts together in YOU.

We shared sweet fellowship with this kind brother as we spent time right in front of this beautiful church building. As we shared the meaning of each symbol, we spoke of unity (our chain link), seed (our mustard seed), and the Word to come over us like rain as we pour water over our offerings. We threw our mustard seed into the air, and sprinkled it over our altar in the ground, asking for faith to grow across the land, and added our chain link for unity. And, as in every county we call down fire from heaven to saturate our hearts. And, we always add Jeremiah 10:6-7, on a scroll in a small plastic container. It is always a special time as we place the elements in the ground and ponder their meanings.
