County Seat: Durango.

As we come down the mountain from Silverton, the sights are equally spectacular as we near Durango. I learned to love mountains as a child going from Cincinnati through the Cumberlands, to visit relatives in Tennessee. I have never lost the wonder, but these 13-14,000 foot peaks really take your breath away- and I don’t mean from the altitude!

Nearing Durango and coming into town, we found two churches to prayerwalk around and pray over. The First Baptist Church, holding its position here since 1958, and The First Christian Church which stood nearby, were both historical beauties. Lord let these precious buildings hold true worshippers of the One True God, and let them know how much they are loved by You. Let them both worship and serve in unity with each other, under the authority of the Living Word of God. Let them be a true lighthouse for Your Kingdom; a light in the darkness to show the Way!

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. In the same way, let your light so shine before men, in such a way that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14-16

Lord may this town pant for You as a deer pants after water brooks. Thank You for blessing us with this young beauty! This little one hung out for a long time, just owning the park, totally relaxed and at home!

“As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, oh God. My soul thirsts for God, for the Living God; when shall I come and appear before God?”

Psalm 42: 1-2.

Lord we have prayed, and pray again, over these offerings. We are claiming this land for You, and asking for America to bow the knee to You Oh Lord. Tony prepared the ground and we were near a river, reminding us of Your river of life that flows from Your very throne. (Rev 22:1-2). Tony placed the stone and sticks representing Elijah’s altar when he faced off with the prophets of Baal. (I Kings 18). The chain link for unity in the church under Your Word, and the prayer card asking for more intercessors were placed next.

We love the mustard seed sprinkled onto the offerings and then thrown into the air. Lord God spread faith across our land! (Matthew 17:20-21). We declare Jeremiah 10:6-7 over Colorado and La Plata County, Lord! Today, we put some seed in our offering, some in the air, and some in the Animas River!

You said Your Word will not return to You void but will accomplish what You sent it to do! Let it be so!

Isaiah 55: 11.

“For I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there”, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”

Matthew 17:20-21.

WATER AND OIL-Jesus the Living Water; Holy Spirit anointing-

MORE OF YOU!

The Word of God, placed onto our offerings and into the ground:

Jeremiah 10:6-7: THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU OH LORD! YOU ARE GREAT, AND GREAT IS YOUR NAME IN MIGHT!

WHO WOULD NOT FEAR YOU, OH KING OF THE NATIONS?

INDEED IT IS YOUR DUE!

FOR AMONG ALL THE WISE MEN OF ALL THE NATIONS AND IN ALL THEIR KINGDOMS,

THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU!

Now a precious time of communion together- Lord we remember your blood sacrifice for us.

As we near the completion of Durango and La Plata County, we are filled with gratefulness and honor to a King who is above all. Lord, You breathe out mountains, speak rivers into existence, give life to us- and You make really pretty deer. We can’t wait to see heaven. We can’t wait to see You. Thank You for Durango. Thank You for America. THERE IS NONE LIKE YOU.
