County Seat: Georgetown.

On the way to Clear Creek, as when we were going to Boulder, we were overwhelmed by God just breathing out all this- the mountains, the rushing rivers, the sheer greatness and beauty. All of us were captivated by the grandeur and majesty. We passed three large mountain sheep with huge, curled horns. I was not quick enough to get a picture, but I hold it in my heart. They were amazing. We drove through mountain tunnels, listened to the rushing waters, saw wildlife- and just breathed it all in.

We had not been able to hear back from church contacts, so we opted for a park in this beautiful county. The park we found was nestled up against a lake with the mountains as a backdrop. At each place we go, we wonder how any place could be more beautiful. Then, the next place is even more spectacular. Our hearts are so full. Our God is so great.

God directed us to a perfect little hill by a tree, right next to the shining lake. There was a bluebird that kept flying near us, and stayed close. There were ducks on the lake- life everywhere.

Friends give sincere and loving advice, like perfume and oil. (Proverbs 27:9).

Friends honor each other above themselves and are devoted to each other. (Romans 12:10).

Friends challenge and sharpen each other to be like our Jesus. (Proverbs 27:17).

Even in trials and troubles, a friend never ever stops loving you. (Proverbs 17:17).

As we placed our memorials in the ground, we lifted high the name of Jesus over Clear Creek County. The pictures will tell the story of taking turns, placing our elements in the ground, then sharing communion with each other and with the land. We got out my guitar and just sang “We Exalt thee”, over and over. It was so beautiful, our time with each other, and our time together at His feet in this place.

As we were ready to close, we said our goodbyes to our Melody as we prepared for the drive home. Melody will ride with us for the next two days but had driven herself today. We look forward to more time with her on our two days ahead, as we miss our prayer partner being in our car with us! We treasure you, Melody!

Friends love each other the same way Christ loves us (John 15:12-13).

THANK YOU LORD FOR CLEAR CREEK COUNTY!
